Parents are the first teachers of the faith and we must ensure that they are fully involved and engaged in the preparation of their children for each of the Sacraments of Initiations. They must be fully initiated and practicing Catholics living in harmony with Church teachings and attend Mass on a regular basis.

We believe that a proper Christian upbringing requires that the parents, godparents or other close family members take responsibility for bringing up the child in the Catholic faith and commit to taking the child to Mass on a regular basis. Parents as the first teachers of the faith should be involved in the children’s faith journey as their principal mentors and guides along with the godparents and indeed the entire faith community.
